How to Remove Face Recognition on OPAY

Hello guys! In this article, I will discuss with you how to remove Face ID security from your OPay App. In my previous article, I explained how to setup or use Face ID Recognition on OPay App. The Face ID recognition is a security feature that add an extra layer protection to your money on the OPay App.

However, removing Face ID Recognition from your OPay App is simple. You can either remove it from your phone app manager or through the security settings on the OPay App. We are still going to that. But why would you want to turn off face recognition on your OPay App?

Are you facing any issue? Or the OPay face recognition is not working on your Android or iPhone? If this is the case, here’s how to solve. You should also know that Face ID might not work under some certain conditions, like wearing a mask or sunglasses. A backup method like a PIN or passcode is still advisable.

No matter what the problem might be, you should find a solution around it rather than removing the face recognition ID from your OPay Account.

If you don’t know, here are advantages of setting up Face ID to payment apps like OPay:

• Faster payments: Using Face ID on OPay is generally faster than entering a PIN or manually typing in your passcode to streamlining the checkout process.
• Seamless experience: Once you set up Face ID on your OPay App, you boast the chance of eliminating the need to remember PINs to authenticate transactions.
• Biometric authentication: Yes, Face ID uses advanced facial recognition technology, making it more difficult for unauthorized individuals to access your OPay app compared to traditional methods like PINs.
• Reduced risk of theft: Even if your phone is lost or stolen, unauthorized individuals cannot access your OPay App without your Face Recognition.

In essence, OPay Face ID Recognition gives your money additional security layer of protection on top of your phone’s passcode, and further safeguarding your financial information.

However, what can I say or do if you insist on removing the Face Recognition ID on your OPay App? Nothing! Hence, here’s how to remove Face ID on OPay App.

How to Remove OPay Face Recognition ID

Removing Face ID on OPay can be done in two ways depending on how you set it up. If you setup your Face Recognition through “Phone Master or Manage,” usually applicable to Android users, you can simply go-to “App Lock” under the “Phone Manager,” to turn off the app “Face ID.” See as highlighted in the image below:

However, you can also remove Face Recognition ID on your OPay Account via App. Here’s how;

• Login to your OPay App and tap on “Me” tab at the bottom of your dashboard.
• Tap on the “Settings” icon at the top right corner of your screen, as highlighted in the image below:
  
• Tap on “Login Settings,” then toggle off the “Biometric Login,” as highlighted in the image below:
  

However, do note that the Biometric Login will display Face ID if you’ve already enabled it on the account. Unlike me, I only enabled “Fingerprint ID,” that’s why you’re seeing it on my app Biometric Login.
