How to set Face ID on OPAY App

To use Face Recognition on OPay App can be done in two different ways. You can setup face ID for your OPay via your phone app manager (for Android users). You can also set Face ID on OPay App via the app’s Biometric Settings (applicable for both Android users and iOS users).

Setting OPay Face ID with Phone Manager

Simply open your Android device’s phone manager or phone master. Scroll down and tap on “App Lock.” You will see the list of app available to use the Device’s App Lock features. Now, scroll down and select “OPay App.”

Here’s the brief summary:

Phone Manager >>> App Lock >>> OPAY App >>> Click to Lock.

However, it’s important to let you know that using your device’s app lock will limit the lock to login and password page only. You cannot use this lock to authenticate transactions on the OPay app. You can only use it to login instead of using OPay PIN or Password.

Putting Face ID from the OPay App

You can also activate the Facial Recognition ID on OPay via the application. This works with both Android phones and iPhones. It can also be used to access the OPay app and authenticate transactions on the app.

Follow these steps to use the Face ID on OPay App:

Step 1

Login to your OPay App. Tap on “Me” and click on the “Settings” icon at the top right corner of your dashboard.

You will see options for “Login Settings” and “Payment Settings”.

To activate Face ID for accessing your OPay App and Account, tap on the Login Settings and toggle on Biometric.

To activate Face Recognition for making payments on the OPay App, tap on “Payment Settings” and toggle ON the Biometric.

However, to put the facial recognition features to work, you must first be using Face Lock on your device. As you can see in the screenshot provided above, I only use “Fingerprint” for my biometric.

It’s also important to know that you will be required to confirm your OPay PIN while activating Face ID for payment.

OPay Face ID Not Working?
